Below is a list of wig features that provide
optimum comfort and styling versatility. It may help to become more familiar
with these terms before you shop.
Determine your size
|
1. Measure around your head
Starting at the natural hairline in front, follow the hairline to just
above the ear. Measure around the back to the bend in the neck, just above
the other ear, then around front to where you began. |
|
2. Measure front to back
Measure from the natural hairline in front, back over the crown to
where the head meets the top of the neck. |
|
3. Measure ear to ear
Starting in front of one ear where the hairline ends, bring the tape
measure up and over the crown to the front of the other ear. |

If all three measurements do not match up exactly with one size on the
chart, select the wig size that corresponds to the largest measurement.
Velcro® tabs inside each wig adjust the circumference up to 1" larger
or smaller to ensure a secure fit.
Your face shape
Stylists will tell you that it’s important to choose a style that flatters
your features, and that means finding one that suits the shape of your
face. Wigs can always be thinned out or trimmed around the edges to suit
your particular features.
Below is a guide for determining which styles will work best with
your particular face shape:
|
|
|
Pear
Narrow forehead, round chin.
Frame the face with bangs and full layers on the sides and on top,
with hair falling below the chin. |
Oval
Wider at forehead than at chin, tapers from cheeks to chin.
Try a short style that is angled at the jawbone to accentuate the cheekbones. |
Round
Wide, short forehead with full cheeks, small chin.
Try a short style that adds height to the face without adding extra
width. |
|
|
|
Heart
Wide forehead, high cheekbones, narrow chin.
Try a style that minimizes the width across the forehead with soft
curls or bangs and adds fullness at the jawline. |
Square
Angular jawline, same width as forehead.
Styles that lengthen the face and add fullness on top work best. Avoid
styles that add width at the jawline. |
Rectangle
High forehead, long narrow chin.
To create an oval appearance, choose a face-framing style with bangs
and full sides to add width to the cheekbones. Avoid styles that add height
on top. |
